PMCC represents fishing communities and concerned citizens dedicated to sustaining healthy and diverse marine ecosystems on the West Coast.

Through Science, Policy and Community programs we:

• Bring together scientists and fishermen in research
• Support policies that create incentives to conserve fisheries
• Listen to people in coastal communities and apply what is heard to the management process

PMCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operating in Washington, Oregon and California. Founded in 1997 by coastal fishermen, with support from major philanthropic foundations, PMCC has a clear conservation agenda and maintains the diversity on our Board of Directors that helped establish us a respected role in the marine conservation arena. We are unique in the region, for working collaboratively to balance biological conservation with the conservation of fishing access for people using selective and sustainable fishing practices.
