PMCC is involved in the Oregon state process to establish an ecologically significant network of marine protected areas. In keeping with our position on this issue, PMCC's role is to facilitate communications among and improve access to accurate information by people along the coast. We encourage fishermen to participate, through public comment at scheduled meetings and in the preparation of proposals for sites to evaluate as marine reserves.
