Bio

Scott Finn is a public media leader, educator and former award-winning reporter with more than 25 years of experience in journalism and non-profit management. As a strategic advisor, Scott helps to support the people who are rebuilding local journalism through coaching, mentoring, strategic planning, transition advising, and educational services. Scott led two public media stations – West Virginia Public Broadcasting and Vermont Public – where he oversaw their transformation into indispensable resources for news, education and culture. Scott was the chief architect and steward of the merger between Vermont public radio and television organizations in 2021. As an independent advisor, Scott now helps build relationships between universities and public media organizations as part of the Center for Community News at the University of Vermont.
