Scott Williams is a respected leader, trainer and programming expert with more than 45 years working in public media. He has lead more than 100 workshops in his career and trained countless public radio professionals through the PD Workshop, Morning Edition Grad School and PMCC’s Spring Training among others.
Scott began his career in 1976 at KPLU, he was a board member and chairperson of the Public Radio Program Directors Association, which is now PMCC, in its early years and was also a teaching assistant for Howard Stern’s first communications class at Boston University! He worked at KJZZ and KBAQ in Phoenix for 45 years as a Program Director and Associate General Manager, and taught the PD Workshop for 23 years. Scott works with a variety of stations on data analytics and broadcast best practices and is an analyst with the Radio Research Consortium.
